Here are some resources if you think this is happening to you, or if you suspect someone you know is experiencing family violence.

The Alberta Government has put together a good pamphlet titled: Abuse in Same-Sex and LGBTQ+ Relationships.

The (American) National Resource Center on LGBT Aging has published a comprehensive article, written for LGBT older adults and their loved ones, and discusses warning signs for LGBT elder abuse. The article covers such topics as financial abuse, threats of "outing" and isolation, among others. It also provides resource suggestions, although many are American. It is titled:

A Self-Help Guide for LGBT Older Adults and their Caregivers and Loved Ones: Preventing, Recognizing, and Addressing Elder Abuse
