Description: The North Island Gender Care Clinic provides specialized services to Two-spirit, transgender, non-binary, and gender diverse persons aged 19 years and older living in North Vancouver Island (Bowser north).   

The Gender Care Clinic is made up of a team of doctors, a nurse, a social worker, and peers that will support: 

• Surgical care planning assessments and referrals for gender affirming surgeries.

• Hormone care planning assessment, hormone initiation and short-term follow-up 

• Pre & post-surgical care

• Peer support

The clinic provides virtual and in-person appointments. In-person appointments are located in Courtenay and Campbell River, and virtually through BC Virtual Visit.
