Description: North Island Pride was established to provide a framework to organise the Campbell River Pride Festival. The first festival was held in 2015, and it was an extension of the work done by Kelly Whiteside with the annual Walk Away From Homophobia. The goal is to help educate on LGBTQ issues, create safe spaces, and celebrate diversity.

Time and Location: First day of the month 6-7:30 pm; Foundry Campbell River, 140 10th Ave.

Description: This facilitated monthly group provides a safe, non-judgmental opportunity for parents and caregivers to get support, information and education, ask questions, have discussions, share stories, share resources, hear from guest speakers, and build a supportive community. Registration encouraged but not required. Refreshments provided. Child care and transportation subsidies available.
