About this Directory

This directory includes any Vancouver Island and Gulf Island organizations or services that:

  • Directly mention including or welcoming sexual and gender diverse, sometimes known as 2SLGBTQI+, people

  • Are not for profit

  • Are ongoing

  • Are intended to serve adults (anyone age 18 or more)

  • Are not a private business

  • Are not a sex hook-up site

The directory scope is all of Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Groups, organizations, some web sites and some social media were intentionally included. Sexual and gender diverse adults may be challenged to find non-commercial opportunities to meet peers and find non-judgmental community.

Sexual and gender diverse adults have higher risks of abuse, neglect and self-neglect than other adults. Relationships and social interactions are essential for mental and physical health and reduce the risk of abuse and neglect.

The directory is an ongoing project. LOVE CRN is concerned with abuse, neglect, and self-neglect of adult 2SLGBTQI+ people on Vancouver Island.
